.Sunnah of Rasulullah (PBUH).

tagged by ( afiq awe on Sunnah of our Prophet ) that we seem to forget and take it for granted.
this is for my own reminder and also to others.

Rasulullah [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam] said,
“He who holds firm to my Sunnah when corruption is rampant in my Ummah will attain the reward of a hundred martyrs.”
(al-Bayhaqi fi Zuhd; Hidaayatur ruwaat vol.1 pg.136 Hadith174)

1. Sunnah of Sleeping

Sleeping in the state of Wudhu'.
People tend to forget the Isya prayer or maybe 'tertido'. But, having the Wudhu' is very much protecting our silent night from the disturb of 'syaitan & iblis'.
I have experience of being disturb by these demons (i'm sure, all of you also have) so badly that i took the Wudhu' many times till i could really sleep silently.

To sleep on the right side and sleep with the right palm on the right cheek.
Bak orang kata, lebih afdal.. =)
Sleeping facing the Qiblah. I find that by doing that, my sleep seems to be more peaceful and ala-ala tido mati.

To recite verses from the Qoran.
Reciting Surah Mulk, before sleeping,
Ayatul Kursi, Surah Ikhlaas, Surah Falaq and Surah Naas before sleeping 3 times and thereafter blow over the entire body thrice. Recite Tasbih-e-Fathima before sleeping.( i.e. 33 X Subhan Allah 33 X Alhamdulillah and 34 X AllahuAkbar). To recite the doa before sleeping.
Normally practice in boarding school. But, now i normally recite Ayatul Kursi first, cause by reciting it wrong or not finishing it, it'll cause quite a distraction. Got what i mean?

2. Sunnah of Toilet

Enter the toilet with head covered.
People seems to think that this deed is 'just' Sunnah. I got influence a lot by reading 'Syaitan Musuh Kita' during my childhood days and there's an episode of comic about the toilet thingy. If the head is not covered when entering, those demons will put our waste products on top of our head. Well, i did believe that.

To enter the toilet with shoes and with left foot and leave the toilet with the right foot.
I had this incidence of always forgetting which foot to come in and which to go out.
"Eh, kanan ke kiri ek? Kanan kot.. erm..tak tak...kiri laa..er..cam kanan. tadi masuk kaki mane plak? adoiii..."
" Fatiiinn....(calling out my sis)..nak keluar toilet kaki mane??????"
Tuh masa zaman kecik-kecik laa..
I will never get out of the toilet until i remember that RIGHT foot, and not left foot is for exiting the toilet.

Not speaking in the toilet.
I really hate people doing this. Especially when someone urinates and IS TALKING ON THE PHONE!
Like hellooo...!! Do you have to tell that person that you are at the moment urinating in the toilet??
*urrghh*
This normally happens at the public toilets, here at the uni and even Malaysia.

To be careful of the splashes of the urine.
I have read that being unmindful in this causes one to be punished in the grave.
This is because, in any case that we wanted to go and urinate before taking Wudhu', those splashes MIGHT spill on your feet or even trousers.
So, when praying, this 'najis' is still there. Although we didn't realize it, it is still a 'najis' that will cause big trouble!
And Wallahualam, solat diterima atau tidak..

3. Sunnah of Eating & Drinking

If a morsel of food falls down, pick it up, clean it and eat it.
Well, abah used to say.. "Selagi makanan ni halal, tak salah kita makan."
I agree on that, but it depend on where did it fall la kan.. huhu...

Clean the plate by finishing every single bits of the foods on the plate.
By doing this, the utensils makes doa for one's forgiveness.
Yes, i truly believe.

Recite doa before and after eating.
I know most of you remember the doa but by just reciting 'Bismillah' and 'Alhamdulillah'.
Kan lagi elok baca penuh.. kan?

One should not eat hot food and blow if it's too hot.
I'm not sure on why we couldn't do this, but i heard somewhere that this will make the nutrition of the foods got 'blown' away too. hehe..

Using right hand to eat and drink.
We eat using our right hand and drink with the left, just because we do not want to dirty the cup. right?
But, the Prophet emphasize on right hand drinking because Syaitans drinks with left hand. We do not want to follow their attitude, kan?

***

So, i've got these three sunnah that i, myself forget to do at times.
How about you guys?
