.i feel good.
even better after the whole program had settled in time and it went smoothly.
more than we expected.
the best program i had ever been and conducted.
the best team work so far from scratch to something we thought impossible
but turn out great and i could say, i am proud of you all.
Alhamdulillah.
much thanx to my parents and family including my grandparents for giving us shelter before we head to our destination and for the dinner, supper, breakfast and lunch that was cooked by mama & nenek all by themselves
while all 14 of us, busy suturing the bicycle tube as to practise our skills in suturing the penis skin of the sunathon kids.
the whole program was hilarious right from the start.
the meeting at a friend's house in ampang till the very last moment of the closing ceremony in the prestigious main hall of that infamous village for the homestay program of 3 days 2 nights.
the feelings of nervousness and not much confidence filled us.
yes, the butterflies had been flying around the stomach ever since we planned this very first project in moscow.
the orphans program went extremely well as this was our first time handling counselling-like agenda.
dedicated to the orphans aged between 9 to 14 and to the single moms too.
almost three hours of the first night was spent wisely between all of us.
tears running down their cheeks (and even mine!) were proven that we did it!
we like them and of course, vice versa too.
the peak of the program was the next day.
technical problems were settled fast by the MA (medical asistant) students, the KK (klinik kesihatan) of that area and one of the big hospital in that district.
yeah, i did everything except for LA and cutting the foreskin.
no guts yet, but next time, will do.
my table had been with the GA and GA's friend.
yup, we took turns in assisting each other and i had found what i am good at, and what i am not.
kids were so good and acted like a hero everytime it was my turn.
non of them cried like bro's table and even in the post-op, their's turn out well.
the evening was spent cam-whoring by his 400D and his new 450D which makes us so magnetic everytime the shutter button is pressed.
well said, photographer knows best but posers knows better. (it depends actually)
at least we all know how to strecth out the extremities of ours. heh.
of course, Nisfu Syaaban was an option for us because our mind and body could not cope with anything after that.
imagine 36 kids circumsized by only 14 medic students.
yeah, i know it sounds so little, but we had to do all by ourselves except that the start is done by the handsome Dr Aznil, pregnant Dr. XXX, actor-like Dr. Muaz (or so..) and another doc that i did not managed to have a time to talk with.
the village people were so cool to all of us.
frankly speaking, the could mix around so well with strangers, even better than certain people i know and aware of.
that's how comunities work. anywhere and everywhere.
not sticking quietly in your own clique and do nothing for our own religion and race and all they know is to talk behind other people's back but no ideas given.
yeah, people nowadays are too modern to do that, i guess.
okayh, i do not want to write much about that.
too long to explain.
continuing the next day which is more to a community services made from house to house, guided by the representative of the village.
statistic taken and most of the villagers are prone to get hypertension, diabetes and stroke, which is common to malaysians due to the meals and junks taken daily.
but youngsters are now aware of the importance of taking extra care of their health as they do not want these disease to attack them by the age of 30 plus.
there were even really 'nice' cases (i will have to refer back to the clerking paper) that put us in awe.
we'll soon discuss this topic in moscow.
the patients were so nice that my partner and i were given rambutans and self-production mushrooms made organically.
we loved them even more!
the closing ceremony of course were made as simple as possible.
but the ketua kampung and his people which is originally from abah's village gave their full commitment in handling our team.
i guess 'my' people are known for their hardwork.
no need to explain more. you should know better, yeah?
plaques were given and the selawat by the ketua kampung made us shed our tears when we hugged and embraced the foster parents of ours.
i'll never forget these experience and learned a lot about friends that we could work with and i am trully grateful to Allah that had granted us the best team work that we could survived from box 1 till our long term pilot projects.
yeah, more to come!
congrats team-mates!!
no pics for now. waiting for the photographer to upload them.
p.s: i smell jealousy people! yesssaaa!
