when was the last performance of my dancing troupe in Moscow?
errmm...Massad 2007, i guess..
i was introduced to cultural dancing by Kat when i was in Form 4 back in high school.
it was during some occasion i forgot, where Katrina, Azliani, Rawaida, Nabilah and I were involved in dancing a traditional dance.
i guess that was an initial steps for me to actually open my eyes to something that i have always thought out-of-date and forgotten by people nowadays.
i recall back the time i danced for Teacher's Day during primary school.
it was Get Down, from Backstreet Boys!
haha.. so sengal!
those bands like Spice Girls, Boyzone, 911, Backstreet Boys, 5ive, The Moffats, B*witched and many more had been idolized by most of us when we're still budak-budak hingusan dulu..

so far i had been here in Moscow, i had performed 8 times and i thought i wanna 'retire'.
asyik muka kiterog jeekk.. bosan gak kan? admit it.

anyway, the performances during the institutes's anniversary were a bit lame except for ours, the indian dance and the belly dance..seriously!
other's were only poem read by korean students, sketches by vietnamese and arabian students and we DON'T even understand a single word they were talking about.but they did it great.
only english language and simple russian words were fix up here in my head!
i couldn't stand to stay til the events ends cause it was held in a disco-bar-like.
i was having ( asphyxia ) with all those smokers puffing all the way filling up the space and those beers and vodkas and bla bla..

Layla, among all the vids, your ngajat tampi is my top fave! I'm going to teach some of the ngajat moves to the girls here for International Dance hahaha! That's in exchange for them teaching me traditional Irish dance. Sorry ye, curi your steps. But not everything, I promise. Sikit saja. Full credit goes to your and your troupe guaranteed, of course.
Ey, don't retire too soon! Unless if it's because of studies. You ladies are wonderful performers. Suka sangat tengok. I'm so glad technology allows me to catch your show, even if I'm not there.
Did I tell you? I'm PR for my uni's Dance Soc. And this year I'm elected class rep again. Baru pergi for exec meeting on Wednesday at the boardroom for the first time. It was so "business-like", I was a little intimidated haha! Will tell you more later.

see!!u got talent rite.not only u.even noren & fatin have the dancing moves.i think it runs in our family's blood.(ye ker??)but exclude me & abg nizar.both of us are keras cam besi..lyn gitar je.hahaha...
to me,learning or performing any tradisional dances teaches us who we are & where do we come from, especially for those who are studying in overseas..
i alwz remember to abah's 'lecture' about melayu.everyday after breakfast he would say anything about it.but i'v never felt reluctant to hear for a thousand times....
